What made you want to start Sparkk Shop?

Sparkk Pty Ltd has been servicing the interiors trade in a wholesale capacity, for just over 3 years now.The Sparkk Shop was born out of the need to provide our retail clients with an easy way to purchase our made up product.We started making cushions at our studio/warehouse/factory (it truly is a one-stop shop!) about a year ago and decided it was time to offer everyone out there a chance to get a little ‘Sparkk’ in their lives, not just the trade.Honestly I think it was mostly pressure from our very supportive friends and family wanting their own cushions that did it!

Tell me about Sparkk Shop’s first collection?

It was rather a hard task! We basically chose the best sellers and those designs that we ourselves truly love. Saskia and I had many an agonizing hour trying to whittle down the hundreds of our ‘favourites’, I suppose that is a testament to how much we love our designs! After that it was a matter of choosing a range of colours we felt gave the customer a broad variety. Whether you are after blues, neutrals, brights, we think there is a cushion to suit every need. We will be adding cushions to the site every few months, focusing on new trends and new design collections that Sparkk releases, so I suppose we will go through this process a lot more!

Are the prints for the cushions the same as your textiles and wallcoverings?

Yes. We have drawn from our design library which you can see at www.sparkk.com.au/designs but approached it in a more curated way, separating the designs in to colour groups and styles such as geometrics, florals, stripes, chevrons etc. Combined with our ‘inspiration’ page, we hope that it makes life easy for our customers.
